How Coming Out As Being Into Nudist Living Is Similar To What's Faced With The LGBT Community
Are you into nudist living? Are you worried that the people around you or even those you might want to date are going to feel a certain way if you were to come out to them about it? Well guess what. The plight of those into nudist living is the same faced by those in the LGBT community. There are all sorts of fears centered around coming out to people about this way of thinking. Here's a short list of the main fears:
The fear of being judged.
No matter what we might think is natural and good, some people just aren't going to see it that way. When you tell them that you're into nudist living they might look at you as some sort of pervert. The assumption is you're only into it for sexual reasons when this couldn't be further from the truth. You're a nudist because you enjoy the sense of freedom it gives you, but others will come to their own conclusions.
The fear of having word spread.
What if you have some sort of career that's really dependent on your image? What if those people were to find out? No matter how good you are at what you do there will be some people who won't want to associate with you anymore on a business level because of the lifestyle you're into. This is what those in the LGBT community go through. Their professional lives are separated from their personal lives, but people just might not care.
Being cut off from people.
Nudist living is all about enjoying nature the way it was meant to be enjoyed. But if you come out to certain people about it, then they might not want you around them anymore. For example, you might spend time with certain people's kids. Now imagine they learn of your lifestyle and because of this they don't feel comfortable with you around their kids anymore. This hurts and people in the LGBT community are also familiar with this.
Fear of being assumed to be into other looked down upon things.
There are people who are going to assume if you're into nudist living (and they consider it a perversion) that you're into other things they wouldn't agree with such as drugs or even certain political/religious beliefs. Because of this they'll look down on your regardless. There isn't much you can do about this.
Coming out as being into nudist living in the dating world is even tougher. People
in the LGBT community might not have as hard of a time, because they have several platforms in which to meet each other. Nudists need something similar and now they have it. There are different websites out there that provide a place for nudists to meet each other, share ideas, connect and learn about different events where they can socialize. If you believe in nudist living you no longer have to feel alone. There are pl enty of other people out there like you. You just have to connect
